William B. Israel
Owner of Birmingham's Oldest Ford Dealership
Bill Israel purchased Adamson Ford from his father, John R. Israel, in 1982 at the age of 27. At the time of purchase, he was the youngest Ford dealer in Birmingham and in the United States, working at Birmingham's oldest Ford dealership. Established in 1918, Adamson Ford has been serving the Birmingham community (including Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Bessemer, Hoover, and Tuscaloosa) for almost a century, selling new and pre-owned vehicles and offerning unparalelled customer service at their Birmingham Ford dealership.
Prior to Bill Israel's tenure, his father John Israel was the Birmingham Ford dealership's owner from 1955-1982. Before that, Reese Adamson founded the first Birmingham Ford dealership, naming it after himself. He had a passion for both Ford, Birmingham, and sales.
Before he was a Birmingham Ford dealer, Bill Israel attended Mountain Brook Junior High, Indian Springs, and Rhodes College where he played on the football and basketball team, as well as ran track. He recieved the Top 40 under 40 award, attends Saint Peters Anglican church, and is a long-time youth sports coach--Mountain Brook softball, basketball, and AAU basketball.
He now lives in his hometown of Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham, with his wife and three children and has an unparalelled passion for the automobile industry, coaching girls athletics, and his two dogs.
His favorite Ford vehicle is the Mustang, but he also enjoys driving the Taurus and Sport Trak. His wife loves the new 2011 Explorer and also a Ford Thunderbird on the weekends.

Sarah Israel
Marketing Director at Adamson Ford Birmingham
Sarah was born and raised in Mountain Brook, Alabama and currently lives in Homewood in Birmingham. She attended The University of Alabama and received her undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Event Planning. While attending Alabama, Sarah was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and served as the social chair for Tri-Delta. She interned at Fingerprint Communications, a celebrity and fashion public relations firm in Beverly Hills, California that focuses on red carpet events and fundraisers. Sarah then received a Masters of Science in Marketing degree from Alabama.
Since then, Sarah has loved her job working for her father as the marketing director at his Ford dealership in Birmingham. As the daughter of a Ford dealer in Birmingham, the automobile industry was a natural step for her. She focuses on marketing Adamson Ford via non-traditional media, including cause marketing and social media campaigns. She also serves on several boards, including for the Arthritis Foundation as the Public Relations chair for Mudbugs and Music 2011, the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Derby for Duchenne, The Greater Birmingham Humane Society Junior Board, and on the fundraising board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for UAB.
Sarah's favorite Ford vehicle is the Ford Edge, which she drives now. But if she could have a choice of any vehicle on the lot of the Ford dealership in Birmingham, she woudl choose to drive around Birmingham in the Boss 302 or SMS Mustang Supercar.

Jim 'Sparky' Sparks

James “Sparky” Sparks received a BS in Music Education from UA, a MS from Auburn’s Music Education program and a PhD from Northwestern University of Musicology. He was also selected as the Bernstein Scholar at Tanglewood festival. He then received his Conducting Degree with the University of Calgary and was the Director of Bands at Grissom HS in Huntsville and then at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Sparky ‘retired’ in 1996 and is now working at Adamson Ford in Birmingham, where he is known as one of the top Ford salesmen in Alabama--specializing in service after the sale and unparalleled charisma. When he is not selling cars, you can find him supporting the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa during football season and you can see his handiwork in action on the field during the halftime shows—he plans one show per season for Alabama.
Sparky's favorite vehicles include the Ford Mustang, Ford Edge and Ford F-250. His wife loves the Ford Explorer and Ford Fusion and his daughter, Ella, dreams of driving a Ford Focus or Ford Fiesta from the dealership around Birmingham one day.
